World Erotic Art Museum
The only museum in the U.S. devoted exclusively to erotic fine art—where taboo, history, and creativity converge in unapologetic celebration.
World Erotic Art Museum (WEAM) is located in the heart of Miami Beach’s Art Deco District, through the Naomi Wilzig Collection. Opened in 2005, it stands as the sole institution in America dedicated entirely to erotic fine art.
WEAM houses over 4,000 works—from ancient Kama Sutra carvings and Pre-Columbian erotica to Rembrandt’s etchings and Picasso’s provocative glimpses; the collection spans millennia and cultures, embracing the histories of desire and body politics.
More than a gallery, WEAM operates as a library, research center, and education think tank—balancing artistry and scholarship within its 12,000 sq ft layout across 20 rooms. Exhibitions have spotlighted artists from Bruno Bernard to Helmut Newton, and thematic installations like “The Great Wall of Vulva” or “Forbidden Fruit: The Art of Cuban Sexuality.”
Located at 1205 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, WEAM invites visitors aged 18+ to explore its extensive, boundary-pushing collection—though reception ranges from enthralled to amused, as rooms overflow with everything from Kama Sutra beds to surreal phallic artifacts.
