Quake – Lisbon Earthquake Museum

Quake – Museu do Terramoto de Lisboa is an experiential museum focused on one of Europe’s most devastating disasters: the Lisbon earthquake of 1 November 1755. The quake, followed by fires and a massive tsunami, killed tens of thousands of people and destroyed much of the city, reshaping Lisbon physically, politically, and philosophically.
