The house is today best known as a restaurant, and its interior presentation leans into medieval atmosphere and Dracula associations, making it one of the city’s most recognisable “Dracula” stops.
The birthplace claim is part of long-running local tourism tradition, and it is commonly described in visitor information as the place where Vlad was born around 1431. At the same time, written sources and listings are not always consistent about the exact identification and address of the “Vlad Dracul/Dracula house” within the Citadel, so it is safest to describe it as a widely promoted association rather than an undisputed historical fact.
